Chuck Hagler, Instrument Repair Extraordinaire and Instructor of thousands of music educators across the country for over 40 years, is coming to MusicMan Camp this summer! Chuck Hagler received his formal music training at the Armed Forces School of Music in Norfolk, Va., graduating in 1966. Thanks to a 2013 grant from Phillies Charities, Inc. — The Brad Schoener Music Fund teamed up with the Upper Darby Township Department of Leisure Services, the Upper Darby School District, and the Upper Darby Arts & Education Foundation to deliver a brand-new summer enrichment camp for young music students who reside in and around Upper Darby.

The 2013 Inaugural “Schoener MusicMan Camp” was geared toward students entering grades 4-8, with beginner and intermediate levels of experience on their musical instruments. The Schoener Fund and MusicMan Camp Director, Justin Heimbecker, assembled an all-star staff of professional music educators from within the district and from surrounding states and countries, supported by local music education majors and Upper Darby High School band students.

This program is a partnership of Upper Darby Township, Thomas N. Micozzie, Mayor, the Brad Schoener Fund, and the Upper Darby School District. The Schoener MusicMan Camp is sponsored by Zeswitz Music, Inc.. and J.W. Pepper, Inc.  The camp is made possible by a grant from Phillies Charities, Inc.
