What is Delco Jazz Jam 2023?

Delco Jazz Jam 2023 is a night full of live jazz performances highlighting  local jazz education programs and Berks Arts getJazzed headliner, Gerald Veasley. Featured ensembles include MusicMan Jazz Jam! Camp, Settlement Music School, The Philadelphia Clef Club for Performing Arts, and West Philly’s MJS Trio. The event ends with an open jam session for all with Phily’s Jazz Collaborative, Omar’s Hat. While you enjoy cool jazz on a hot night, you can also relax in the Conshohocken Brewing Co. beer garden & select from one of our many food trucks!

Gerald Veasley

Gerald Veasley is a renowned musician native to Philly. He is a bass player, bandleader, composer, and educator. He holds the position as president of Jazz Philadelphia, where he inspires the next generation of musicians by celebrating Philly's jazz history and established artists. Veasley has been in the Recording Academy in various roles including Chapter President and Jazz Nominations Review Committee. He was also on faculty at the University of the Arts. Thanks to Berk's getJazzed program for bringing us Gerald Veasley!

Omar's Hat

Omar's Hat is a group of jazz musicians who came together to jam. The collaborative shows their love for Philadelphia, it's history and sound, through their music. The individuals in Omar's Hat includes Kayla "Black Buttafly" Childs, Yesseh Furaha-All, Austin "Hanglow" Marlow, max IIan Hoenig, AJAY Shughart, Eric "Farmer Funk" Sherman, Michael Spearman, Alejandro Tria, and Larry Monroe Jr "LARRYLXVV".
