Clinician Doug Raines

Doug Raines – Percussionist, Music Educator, Performer, Composer, Arranger – Mr. Raines is an active performer, educator and arranger who has taught various styles of music through diverse ensemble models.  As an active music educator, Doug has taught throughout North Carolina, Virginia, Maryland, New Jersey and Pennsylvania. He has been recognized by the School Band and Orchestra magazine as one of the “Top 50 U.S. Band Directors,” representing the state of Pennsylvania. As a percussionist and stage performer he also completed nearly three years touring with the Tony and Emmy award winning Broadway show “Blast!”  Doug was a featured percussionist cast member while performing on Broadway, the U.S. and the Japan touring casts of Blast! Some of his performance experiences include the NBC Today Show, the NBA All-Star Game, the CFL Grey Cup Halftime Show,  and the Kennedy Center Honors Awards. His other related performance experiences include the Delaware Steel, Jump City Jazz Orchestra, Panama Steel, ECU Jazz Ensemble “A,” Crossmen Drum and Bugle Corps, ECU Marching Pirates and many years performing with various Fife and Drum Corps in the Washington D.C. area.
