MUSICMAN CAMP 2022 WAS A BLAST!

FOR BAND AND STRING PLAYERS

Come COLLABORATE AND CREATE as we explore the world of Instruments, Improvisation, Drum Circles, Ukulele/Guitar, Music Theory, Composition, Basic Instrument Care, even Mindfulness and Movement! Learning a secondary instrument is encouraged!

For students who have completed grades 3-8.
(First, second, third year band students; second & third year string students.)

Meet the Staff!

The “Greenies” are comprised of teachers and college students. Our “Junior Greenies” are former campers who are now in high school. Not only are the campers learning, the younger greenies have a chance to learn how to become an educator!

Master Classes with.....

Al Chez

Al Chez has been with the camp since 2017 working with the campers on improvisation and performance. Al Chez is a renowned trumpet player, playing on Late Night and The Late Show for many years. He also played with many artists including Bon Jovi, Tower of Power, Rolling Stones and many more.

Ryan Joseph

Ryan Joseph joined the camp in 2021, working on improvisation and fiddling with the string campers. Ryan is currently touring with Alan Jackson. He played for many artists including Billy Ray Cyrus, Brad Paisley, Carrie Underwood and more.

Cynthia Campetti

Our teaching guest artist, Cynthia Campetti, just joined the camp in 2022 and worked with our campers on their posture and poise when performing! “Ms. Cindy” is a former member of the Philadelphia Orchestra and has taught privately for over 30 years in the Delaware County Area.

At MusicMan, campers not only  have the opportunity to play their primary and/or secondary instrument, but can also choose from three harmonic instruments to play. 

About the Camp

The MusicMan Camp features daily lessons in small group/individual settings catering to each student’s experience level, large ensemble experiences, and exploration of music highlighted by workshops including:

* Rhythmic Focus thru Movement & Drumming
* Melodic Training with Interactive Technology
* Harmonic Training on Ukulele, Guitar or Piano
* Improvisation & Composition
* Leadership & Teamwork in a small Ensemble

For Young Band & String Musicians Who Have Completed Grades 3-8.

Campers must bring their own lunch each day.
